Tidewater Coal Inspection Bureau, Inc (TCIB), established in 1927, provided quality independent third-party sampling, analysis, and consulting services primarily to the export coal market for nearly 75 years. Located in Norfolk, Virginia, TCIB not only serviced the Port of Hampton Roads, but also Baltimore, Charleston, SC, and the Gulf ports.
While no longer in operation, TCIB was a founding partner of SAI, and its principals maintain an ongoing interest in the coal industry through their participation on the SAI Board.
